Accepted for Publication

So, late last night I got word from Rykaine that LT3 accepted both of my stories for publication.

The long story is the story of Jeremey Jasper, now titled For Promise Yet Unbroken. Some longtime readers may remember this as the story casually referred to as "Space Cowboys."

The short story is the prequel to Promise, about Charlie Colcord, titled In the Hours of Darkness. This one has been doubled in length since its original release owing to the fact that I really only covered one side of the issue when it was first posted and to be fair to both characters I needed to fill in the other one's side of things. I think it does more justice to them now.

There may at some point in the future be a third story, owing to the fact that I'm quite fond of a side character who makes an appearance in Jeremey's story, but the idea is nebulous at best and a long way off at any rate.

  1. That's awesome, Tygati!!! Super excited for you!

You know, I do vaguely remember something about Space Cowboys, ha! I don't remember Promise or anything about the second story, though. Can't wait to read them both!

  2. Congratulations!
I remember both of them and can't wait to read an extendend version of Charlie's story (how he got chosen?) And the finished one of jeremey :D
Do you maybe have an idea when they're going to be published? ^^

    1. You're like the third person who's asked about Charlie meeting Zorevan. It's not enough for a real story but I may do it as a short some day since everyone seems to want it. ^^;;

I have no clue how the publishing schedule works, but I expect it's still months off. It has to go through an editor, then me, then a typo-catcher, then formatting, and somewhere in there is a cover artist, and THEN it can be released. When I beta'd for Talya, it seemed like ages before the final product finally came out.

    2. Yes!! :D I totally want to it! ^_^

Oh, okay ^^ Well, I'm patient (or at least, I try to be ^^). I know how long it takes to edit~~~ It takes ages *_* (and then some^^) but the finished prodtuct will be worth it, even thought one can get very frustrated with one's work halfawy through editing. (That's what keeps me going ^^) Do you still beta? :P
Anyway, I can't wait to read it and I'm sure it's going to be great! ^^

    3. I only beta if specifically asked, these days. Maderr had me beta High King's Golden Tongue for her but that's the only thing I've beta'd in a long time.

Maybe trying for Charlie meeting Zorevan would help get me out of my funk. I haven't been able to really write anything since my grandmother died. :(

  3. O.M.G you beta'd THKGT? now, I really love you :D *happy* Megan Derr is awesome - and the reason I found all your works ^_^ (Azure Island = One of my fav books ever!) I totally want to ask for spoilers though ~~~ XD'
Yep, not going to do that *can-resist-the-urge* but I kind of, would like to specifically ask you a question...? I know, you don't know me and my sanity *is* optional but would you like being my beta for my way too long UST-fantasy-enemies-to-lovers-romance-that-really-should-have-been-shorter-and-is-meant-to-be-published?
Ehrm...*coughs* Yes, I'm creepy - sorry *_* but I had to ask, and I can totally understand it if you are not interested! I promise, I'll still read everything you write ♥

Oh :( I can relate (my gran died 2 years ago and she lived in the same house for my whole life...) I'm sorry for your loss.
Don't force yourself! The words will return, even if it takes time and an amount of fluff that can't be measured.
I know, everybody deals differently and I'm not that much of a help, but in times like these, I read. A lot. It helps me. Or writing way too long romance books without angst, or short stories without real plot...just thinking about love helps a lot and needing a break from writing is okay!
Maybe... I might be crazy and sanity *is optional* but if you want to...if you need smeome to just listen - I'm here.

    1. How did I miss this? I'm still not used to this website. x_x

How many words worth of story do you have? Is it complete? Depending on length I can probably give it a go. I suffer from Bipolar disorder so I have definite periods of when I can and can't do things, but I can give it my best shot?

  4. No problem :)

Yes, it's complete but it's...long. I'm currently revising it and it has 454 pages/135.485 words *_* I really don't want to force my story upon you though!
A someone who suffers from depression, I can only Imagine what it's like for you, so please don't feel pressured by me! That's the last thing I want! I would be delighted to have you read my story, if you want to, of course. At this stage, a feedback of the whole story would be very much appreciated. I have two Betas who help me with grammar/structure/wording etc, so that's taken care of. ^^ fio.flemming@outlook.com. That's my e-mail :)
